Cloud security

Cloud security consists of various technologies and tools designed to protect each aspect of what is stored in the cloud. As more organizations move critical workloads to the public cloud, IT must be vigilant about the security of systems, data and services in the cloud.

A common mistake is the assumption that the cloud is inherently secure. This mistake frequently exposes organizations to greater risks in the cloud. In order to keep applications and data secure, IT security must clearly understand where the responsibilities of cloud service providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure) end and where theirs begin. IT and security leaders can then provide ideas and solutions for problems such as information theft, leakage and deletion.
